Fom the Ballyhoura on to the Multeen and today the Ormond Way

Having set out from Cappaghwhite it was due North to Milestone where we were greeted on to the Ormond Way by Matt Ryan and his team. The Multeen is often remembered for Eomann an Chnuic (Ned of the Hills), a seventeenth century Irish raparee immortalized in poetry together with Galloping Hogan,Patrick Sarsfield's Irish leader who destroyed the Williamite Siege train at Cullen Co Tipperary in 1690. However it is the kindness and fun of all who assisted in making this such a memorable part of the walk including Maria who was so kind in looking after me.
With the handover Into Ormond Territory our first stop was Paddy Kinnane's Pub where we were hosted by the Development Association and one can only be inspired by listening to their plans for the region
Templederry was our final stop for the day and my sincere thanks to John, Fiona, Jim, Ger, Tom, Dick,Matt and Noreen Dow for being such wonderful travel companions.
